Donate a Vehicle

Selling your unused car is good – but donating it to the Humane Society of Harford County is great! It could mean hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars in support of the 3,400 animals we shelter each year. Our vehicle donation program provides free pick-up and supports you through the entire donation process.

Here’s how it works:

• Call 1-855-500-RIDE (7433) or complete the online donation form at https://careasy.org/Humane-Society-of-Harford-County-Inc. The CARS Vehicle Donation Support Team is available seven days a week and will happily answer any questions.
• Schedule your free pick-up: The CARS team will arrange to have a licensed tow company pick up your vehicle at a convenient time – all at no cost to you.
• Receive your tax receipt: When the vehicle sells, we’ll send you a thank-you letter and any necessary documents you need for your tax-deductible gift.

So whether it’s running or not, donations like cars, trucks, boats – and everything in between – have great potential to keep HSHC’s programs and services running smoothly and helping animals in need!
