Adoption Specials

The Humane Society of Harford County often has animals that get overlooked for whatever reason – age, breed, medical condition, hearing or vision impairment, etc. – factors that make them no less loving or lovable. In a survey conducted by Petfinder, it was found that these pets often wait four times longer than average to be adopted – a long time spent without a family, security and unconditional love, and all due to reasons beyond the animal’s control. For this reason, we have developed a few special programs to help these animals find great homes and loving caretakers.

	Barn Cat Buddies We’re looking for property and business owners who need a few cat patrols for their barns, shops, and farms, for cats that would not be happy living in homes, but would make wonderful barn cats.
	Kitty Krusaders Packed with all kinds of super-powers in a pint-sized package, Kitty Krusaders are special cats that are just a little bit different, but are otherwise loving, super heroic cats who deserve a chance at a loving forever home!
	Lonely Hearts Club The Lonely Hearts Club Adoption Program offers several adoption perks for pets that have been at the shelter for at least 4 months.
	Seniors 4 Seniors The Seniors 4 Seniors program matches amazing senior cats and senior dogs with caring senior adopters who are 62 years of age or older.
