Catrick-Mahomes
“I want to say “Thank you” to everyone at the Humane Society of Harford County for allowing our family to adopt Catrick Swayze last week. His new name is Catrick-Mahomes. He is adjusting well and he is so loving and fun. Our cat Olaf is still getting use to having another cat in the house. We are doing all of the things from the packet about introducing the cats slowly. This was our first time adopting from The Humane Society of Harford County and it was a great experience. Thank you again!”

Noodle
“Noodle (black and white dog at left) has settled in so well to our home environment. She’s had her big sister, Roxy, around to show her the ropes, and is absolutely thriving with our family. It’s hard to believe that we only adopted her one month ago, because she’s already such a fixture in our home. Thank you all for the hard work that you did to find us our perfect match, and for all of the hard work that you continue to do for every animal in your care.”

Buc
“We are very grateful for the adoption experience we had and for all of the advice given to us about introducing our new cat, Buc, to our resident kitties. We feel very lucky that Buc’s first two adoptions did not work out. He was meant to be with us. Thank you for all that you do for animals at the Humane Society of Harford County.”

Callie
“Our decision to adopt Callie may have been the most spontaneous thing we have done, but we couldn’t be happier with our rare and precious find. She is the greeter at our door when we come in from work every evening (without fail), our cuddle buddy on the couch when we watch a TV show, our desk companion when there’s more work to do after work, and our wild hunter in the late evenings when the lioness instincts come out to play. Thank you so much for everything that you and the Humane Society do. Callie has been such a blessing in our lives and we are so happy to have her as a new part of our small family.”

Kiba
“As a nurse who works three days a week, having our dog Kiba with me on my days off has drastically changed my life. We started looking for a dog because I was very lonely during the day. Now I’ve met more of the neighbors in 3 weeks than in the last year. The adoption packet we received has been such a blessing! We used it to crate train Kiba and it’s been our go-to reference in making our routine with him. We are so happy with our decision to adopt and Kiba has been the perfect addition to our family. Thank you for bringing him into our lives!”

Abby
“Our new adopted dog, Abby, was the answer to a prayer! She’s been the best little girl. We are madly in love with her! She has adjusted so well and she’s always smiling. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to adopt a pet. Your staff was so helpful and kind to us. Thank you for all you do for these animals!”

Edgar
“Our new cat, Edgar, has changed our lives and brought so much joy and warmth into our home. Life surely would not be the same without him. He is the puzzle piece that makes our lives whole.”

Milo
“My mother and I would like to thank everyone at the shelter. We had such a great experience today when we came to adopt Milo. He’s settling in nicely and has made himself at home. Thank you again for everything!”

Jorgy, Paisley & Spooky
We are so very grateful to everyone who helped us with our adoption process. On our first visit to the shelter we were coming in to look for a new cat after our losing our cat of 10 years. We were only going to adopt 1 cat but found 2 gorgeous, friendly cats that immediately came up to us for love and affection. We brought home Jorgy and Paisley on October 12 and couldn’t be happier. We returned to the shelter on November 9. We walked through and saw a beautiful cat named Spooky. When I touched the glass, he raised his paw to my hand and did the same with my fiance. We were unsure if adopting another cat would be a good idea this soon. We left without him. Neither one of us could get him off our mind, so needless to say, we returned a week later to find Spooky still at the shelter. He now is part of our family.

Raven
We adopted Jones about three weeks ago. Now named Raven, he has made himself completely at home since day one. He is absolutely the sweetest and most loving cat I’ve ever encountered. He is beyond patient with our three girls and he has fit right in with our two Shelties. I figured you guys would like to hear about how this perfect gentleman is doing now. Thank you guys for leading us to this special boy!!! He was the perfect addition to our family at just the perfect time.
