Fallston, MD (May 11, 2023) – The Humane Society of Harford County’s (HSHC) sixth annual Pup Crawl to raise funds and awareness for homeless animals returns this year on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in historic downtown Bel Air. All of the participating establishments are within walking distance and include Alecraft Brewery, Das Bierhalle, Independent Brewing, Looney’s Pub, MaGerk’s Pub, and the Main Street Tower. The Crawl is generously sponsored by Heather Schafer Adkins with the Adkins Letschin Home Group of Long & Foster.
“We’re excited to bring the fun to downtown Bel Air and grateful for the support of the entire community, from our guests, to the locally owned and operated pubs, and all our sponsors,” said Bob Citrullo, HSHC executive director. “And while the tone of the event is lighthearted, the purpose of the Pup Crawl is significant. All proceeds help offset the cost of surgeries, medications, vaccinations, and supplies for the thousands of animals we shelter annually.”
Tickets are $45 per person in advance and include a drink at each pub, a chance to win a door prize if the crawler’s credentials are stamped at every bar, and 2 participation gifts. If tickets do not sell out in advance, the price at the door is $55. Designated drivers and those who prefer unlimited water and soft drinks may purchase a Tag-Along ticket for $10 per person.
Sign-in begins at 4:30pm at Looney’s Pub and crawlers are then free to fan out throughout the downtown area for the evening. Crawlers are invited back to Looney’s Pub at 9:00pm for a final reception to share one last drink together, toast sponsors, and announce door prize winners.
All guests must be 21 years of age to participate, and while we love our furry friends, pets must stay at home.
Sponsorships are still available and more information can be found at HarfordShelter.org/PupCrawl. Other participating sponsors include Joan Ryder & Associates Real Estate, Homeward Bound Veterinary Services, Heated 4 U, Route 24 Ale House, Animal Emergency Hospital, First Response Heating & Cooling, John Drexler, Nick & Nicole Bengel, and TeamLogic IT.
