Fallston, MD (August 30, 2016) – Do you have the next Marilyn MEOW? Maybe your best buddy is a ham in front of the camera like WOOFgang Puck or Jessica RABBIT! The Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC) is putting together its annual calendar for 2017 and has an open casting call for the area’s cutest pets! The grand prize winner will appear on the cover of the 2017 calendar, while the next 12 pets with the most votes will each be featured as a pet of the month. Show off your adorable furry friend while helping the thousands of shelter pets waiting for forever homes at HSHC each year.
The calendar contest is online at my.360photocontest.com/hshchumane. The entry fee is a $10 donation per photo and there is no limit to how many photos can be submitted, but photos must contain animals only, please. The key to winning is encouraging friends and family members to vote. Votes are $1 per vote with a minimum purchase of five votes required.
This fun and friendly competition is not just for cats and dogs – photos of pets of any kind (small critters, reptiles, farm animals, etc.) are welcomed and encouraged. The contest is open until September 30th at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Photo entries and votes can also be sent through the US mail to the Humane Society of Harford County, Attn: Calendar Contest, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047 with a check for the appropriate donation amount ($10 minimum per photo and $1 per vote). Photo entries and votes must be postmarked by September 20, 2016 and will be reflected online within 48 hours of receipt.
At the conclusion of the contest, a printed calendar will be produced and will be available in mid-October for $10 each or ten for $75.
Businesses are invited to sponsor the calendar contest. Each of the 12 monthly sponsorships are available for $250 each. Businesses who commit by September 20th will be featured on the contest website at no extra charge.
HSHC’s “Make Your Pet a Pin-Up” contest is a major fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting the thousands of animals HSHC shelters each year. Questions about the contest should be directed to Erin Long at 410-836-1090, x106 or [email protected]. Let the fun begin!
