Use your creativity and artistic talent to help homeless animals! Simply join the fun by decorating a birdhouse and attending the reception on February 9th.
Here’s how to enter:
CREATE – Jan. 13—Feb. 9
Purchase a hand-made birdhouse now for $25 (2208 Connolly Road in Fallston or online). Birdhouses will be ready for pick-up at the shelter Jan. 13-19. Then decorate it, paint it, decoupage it…whatever you want (any media is accepted).
SUBMIT – February 9 by 2pm
All entries must be brought to the shelter no later than Saturday, Feb. 9 by 2pm. Judging of all entries will then take place by an independent panel of 3 judges during a reception. Entries will be judged separately in Adult and Youth categories.
WIN – February 9 2-4pm
Attend the reception at The Humane Society of Harford County on Saturday, February 9th from 2-4pm to see if you’ve won (everyone’s a winner for helping the animals!). First, second & third place winners will receive wonderful prizes courtesy of HSHC & KaJo Pets! Enjoy refreshments, stroll through the shelter to see our animals and check out our gift shop.
Following the reception, either take your creation with you, or donate your birdhouse to the shelter to sell or use in future raffle baskets!
