Workplace giving programs allow employees to make regular donations to The Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC) through their companies’ payroll system. Employees may contribute a set amount per paycheck – or make a one-time gift.

HOW DOES WORKPLACE GIVING WORK?
Choose a tax-deductible donation amount, and your pledged donation amount is automatically deducted from payroll, offering a convenient means of giving—and the potential to make an even greater impact by year-round sustained giving, without losing the tax benefits of charitable giving.

  • Combined Federal Campaign LogoFederal employees: Military and federal employees can give through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). You can find us listed alphabetically as “Humane Society of Harford County, The.” HSHC’s CFC number is 90205.
  • State employees: You can give to HSHC through the Maryland Charity Campaign (MCC) by selecting Humane Society of Harford County, Inc. (The), by name and Tax ID #52-0567970.
  • Private company employees: Many employers will match charitable donations and even volunteer hours made by their employees throughout the year. It is important for you to inquire about your employer’s matching criteria so that you can maximize the impact of your donation. For example, some employers double the impact of a donation by matching each dollar. That means if you can only afford to give $50, the charity actually receives $100. Some companies also have volunteer hour matching programs and will donate $1 per volunteer hour. If you don’t see HSHC listed in your company’s campaign, simply type or write in “The Humane Society of Harford County, Tax ID #52-0567970, Address: 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047” within the form provided by your employer.
