Phoenix 5K Run & Walk
Join us for an inspiring afternoon on Saturday, May 4 of community, movement, and compassion at our Phoenix 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk/Run, both beginning at 4:00 PM. Runners, walkers, families, and four-legged friends of all abilities are welcome to participate. This event directly supports the lifesaving mission of the Humane Society of Harford County, helping provide care, shelter, medical treatment, and second chances for animals in our community. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps animals on their journey from hardship to hope—just like the Phoenix rising.

Running the Phoenix 5K Ready to rise to the challenge? Lace up for the Phoenix 5K Run/Walk—a timed, family-friendly race to benefit the Humane Society of Harford County! Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just enjoying the course with friends, this scenic 3.1-mile route is the perfect way to get moving for a great cause – every stride helps local animals in need. Awards will be presented to top finishers in multiple age categories.Run, walk, or jog—however you cross the finish line, you’ll be helping our community’s homeless pets rise to brighter futures. |

Walking the 1-Mile Trail Not up for the full 5K? No problem! Grab your sneakers—and your furry best friend—and join us for the Paw-some 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run during the Phoenix 5K! This untimed, easygoing option is perfect for animal lovers who want to take part in the fun at their own pace. Enjoy a scenic stroll (or jog!) alongside fellow pet enthusiasts while supporting the Humane Society of Harford County.Every registration includes a commemorative event shirt for you and an adorable bandana for your pup, so you can both show off your team spirit in style.All friendly, leashed dogs welcome! |

After the races conclude, stay for our Winner’s Circle celebration, where top finishers are recognized and we come together to celebrate resilience, second chances, and the impact this community makes possible.

Painful skin allergies once made every day miserable for him — the constant itching left his skin raw and covered in red patches with missing fur. But because of you, Diesel’s caregivers at the shelter were able to provide the allergy medications, steroids, and medicated baths he needed to heal and feel comfortable again.
Thanks to your kindness, the healing process can begin for pets like Diesel the moment they arrive at the shelter.
