Ahoy there matey! It’s been a summer of taking in kittens with major eye infections and injuries that have gone untreated and their conditions have progressed beyond repair. But with your help, these kitties will get the surgical procedure they need (called an enucleation), and life as adorable one-eyed pirate kitties can begin!
One brave little buccaneer – Buttons – has already had surgery and is recovering beautifully. The other two – Stevie (pictured) and Lotus – are scheduled for surgery soon, and our team is preparing to give them the same chance to heal.
Every animal who comes through our doors has a story, and many arrive needing urgent medical care. From eye surgeries like these to broken bones and emergency medications, the cost of giving homeless pets a second chance adds up quickly.
