Over 400 pets were vaccinated and/or microchipped at a public clinic hosted by the Humane Society of Harford County last fall. The next clinic is Saturday, February 28 from 10am-2pm at the Abingdon Fire Company.

Fallston, MD (February 10, 2026) – The Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC), in partnership with the Harford County Health Department, will host a public pet vaccination clinic on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Fire Company, located at 3306 Abingdon Road, Abingdon, MD 21009.

The clinic will offer distemper and Bordetella vaccines for dogs, distemper vaccines for cats, and rabies vaccines for dogs, cats, and ferrets. Vaccines are $10 each, with payment accepted via cash or major credit card. Microchipping will also be available for $25 per pet. In addition, special guest Heart to Heart Mobile Pet Care, LLC will be onsite offering $20 nail trims.

Appointments are not required, and the clinic is open to all pet owners, regardless of residency.

“Our clinics are for everyone, regardless of zip code or income level,” said Amanda Hickman, Executive Director of HSHC. “Our goal is to offer affordable core vaccines that protect pets from preventable illness and disease. We encourage community members to take advantage of this resource to support the health and wellness of pets throughout our community.”

Animals must be at least four months old to receive vaccinations. For the safety of all attendees, dogs must be on a non-retractable leash with a properly fitted collar, and cats and ferrets must be secured in a carrier. Because the clinic will be held in open truck bays, attendees are encouraged to dress warmly and be prepared to wait outdoors.

“We’re excited to bring this clinic to the Abingdon community,” Hickman added. “These events are always well attended. At our most recent clinic in Fallston this past October, we vaccinated 242 dogs and 172 cats in just over four hours.”
