Fallston, MD (July 11, 2024) – The Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC) is hosting a Basket Bingo fundraiser on Friday, August 2 at Level Volunteer Fire Hall, 3633 Level Village Road in Havre de Grace to raise funds for the thousands of animals it shelters each year. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and features themed basket prizes donated by local businesses and animal lovers.

Doors open at 6pm and bingo begins at 7pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and include a packet of 20 games and a chance to win door prizes throughout the evening. Additional Bingo cards, special game cards, and raffles may be purchased at the event. Bring items from HSHC’s wish list and receive a free raffle ticket for each item you bring. Limited tickets may be available at the door for $23, but last year’s Bingo sold out in advance.

The kitchen will sell light dinner fare, snacks, and baked goods. Back by popular demand this year is the gift card board with $500 in gift cards to area businesses, which will be raffled off to one lucky winner. In addition, the final game of the night is a 50/50, and last year, the winner took home over $300.

Local businesses and animal lovers can support the animals by sponsoring or donating themed items to fill a basket, gift cards, jewelry, artwork, professional services, tickets to area attractions, etc. Donors will be recognized in the event program. Monetary donations are accepted as well. Donations are tax-deductible and net proceeds from the evening support vital programs and services including HSHC’s foster program, rescue transports, veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, and more.
