To thank our first responders, the Humane Society of Harford County waives adoption fees for all active or veteran military personnel, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, or EMTs with a current valid ID or other proof of employment. Animals adopted to Hometown Heroes must be 1 year of age or older.
Military personnel at any stage of their careers are also eligible to apply for the Pets for Patriots program.
