Fallston, MD (September 28, 2022) – The Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC) will introduce you to lots of potential new furry family members at a Pittie Party adoption fair on Saturday, October 8. A variety of bright and bubbly dogs will be leashed and mingling with guests outside on the shelter’s parking lot at 2208 Connolly Road in Fallston between 11AM and 3PM.

“We have dozens of wonderful companions, many of whom have waited all summer to find a home,” said Bob Citrullo, executive director. “Our staff and volunteers get to know the dogs extremely well and are therefore eager to talk about and show off their favorite dogs. And at the end of the day, we hope most of them have found loving homes.”

During the Pittie Party, HSHC will host a bake sale and pop-up sale with t-shirts, tanks, hoodies and more; have giveaways for dog adopters; and will offer discounted dog adoption fees.

Don’t want to wait until October 8? The HSHC adoption center is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 11AM-6PM, Saturdays from 10AM-5PM, and Sundays from 12-4PM. Homeless dogs, cats, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, exotics such as birds and reptiles, and even barnyard friends are eager to meet the adopter of their dreams.

“All the animals currently available for adoption are listed at www.harfordshelter.org/animals,” Citrullo added. “They are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and all come with the appropriate vaccinations and tests, a microchip, and a free sample bag of Hill’s Science Diet food. Our team is very excited to welcome visitors to the shelter, introduce them to our animals, and help them take home their next new family member.”
