While October is officially Adopt a Shelter Dog month, here at The Humane Society of Harford County, we’re still in the thick of kitten season. Kitten season is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters and rescue groups across the nation with homeless litters. Kitten season is really three seasons in one, starting in spring, peaking in late spring and summer, and ending in fall. We expect to see things continue to peak into November.
We need your help!
There are several ways you can help us save these precious lives: adopt, foster, spay and neuter, donate and share, share, share! Connect with us on Facebook and share our cats and kittens up for adoption and encourage your friends to do the same. If you’re affiliated with a rescue that has room, let us know. If you’re in need of a barn cat, we’ve got those too.
Special Adoption Fee
For the rest of October, all cats and kittens are FREE to adopt (plus a small spay/neuter deposit). Spread the word and let’s get these furry friends into homes!
