Fallston, MD (April 17, 2014) – All 470 seats to the largest party of the year for Harford County’s homeless and neglected animals are already sold out, but there are still plenty of ways you can participate and support the animals at the shelter! The Humane Society of Harford County’s Bow Wow Boogie will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 7:30-11:30pm at the Richlin Ballroom, 1700 Van Bibber Road, Edgewood, MD.
Now more than ever, local businesses and animal lovers across the region are strongly encouraged to show their love for the animals and donate gift cards, jewelry, artwork, professional services, tickets to area attractions, and much more for the evening’s popular silent auction. Monetary donations are accepted as well. Donations are tax-deductible and net proceeds from the evening benefit an average of 4,500 animals that enter the shelter each year.
Raffle tickets are being sold now for a stunning tropical vacation to Jamaica! One lucky winner will enjoy 8 sun-drenched days & 7 sizzling nights at the ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios, Jamaica (choose the adults-only or family side of the resort) with all-inclusive airfare, lodging, meals, snacks and drinks for 2 (a $3,500 value!). The trip can be booked any time in 2014 or 2015 (certain blackout dates apply). Tickets for this lavish vacation are on sale now at the shelter for just $100 each and only 125 tickets will be sold. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Bow Wow Boogie on May 2 (winner does not need to be present to win).
A returning favorite is the popular silent auction where guests can bid on a wide variety of fabulous gift baskets. Other amazing items will be auctioned off live, including a week’s vacation in Deep Creek, MD; tickets to see Bruce Springsteen; a cherry red motorcycle that comes with many accessories; a week’s vacation at an oceanfront beach house in Emerald Isle, NC; and tickets to a Raven’s game. An enormous wheelbarrow of cheer and a tower of beer raffle have become legendary!
There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities available that provide recognition in advertisements, on our website, on our Facebook page, and in the event program that evening. The “Top Dog” event sponsor is Animal Emergency Hospital.
To sponsor the event, contact Mary Leavens at 410-836-1090, x101 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations to the live and silent auction can be mailed or brought into the shelter at 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD by April 25th. Proceeds benefit the homeless and neglected animals of Harford County.
