Fallston, MD (January 22, 2014) – It’s time to get a team of friends together, collect pledges, lace up those colorful rented bowling shoes, and settle in for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 3:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Lanes, One Maurice Drive in Forest Hill, MD. Proceeds from this important fundraiser support a very worthy cause – the homeless and neglected animals at the Humane Society of Harford County.
You don’t have to be a professional bowler to join in and raise money for the animals. Anyone can participate, and the key to success is collecting donations! Prior to the event, either print a paper form to collect donations or click here and fundraise online. Most people do both! You’re passionate about animals, right? Then don’t be shy about asking friends, family, co-workers, and school buddies to support the animals at the shelter. Tax-deductible donations directly support the comfort and care of homeless animals at the shelter, and should be brought to the registration desk on the day of the Bowl-a-Rama. The first person or team to raise $1,000 wins a pizza party at your school, home or office (limit 10 pizzas). Please contact us at 410-836-1090, x111 when you reach this goal. Prizes will be awarded at the Bowl-a-Rama to the top team and the top individual who raises the most money.
Doors open for the Bowl-a-Rama at 3 p.m. and participants can bowl as many games as they can fit in between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is $20 per person, and this fee helps to pay for your lane rental and bowling shoes. We sell out early every year, so pre-register by February 19th by clicking here and following the links to pre-register with a credit card – or call 410-836-1090, x111 to pay over the phone. Each lane will consist of up to six bowlers, so if you have less players, you may be paired with other bowlers.
If your group is interested in sponsoring the Bowl-a-Rama, there are three different sponsorship levels that provide free lane rentals, pizza and soda; and recognition in flyers, advertisements, and social media. Click here for details. NEW THIS YEAR! Team members at the top sponsor level are eligible to compete for the coveted title of 2014 Strikes for Strays Champion. You hold the title of top bowler until next year’s event! So far, Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services (HERVS) is registered as a King Pin top sponsor. Join us and compete against HERVS for the top bowler title!
We will be raffling off several great raffle baskets, and for every $50 you raise in donations, you will receive two raffle tickets for a chance to win. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at the Bowl-a-Rama. Tickets are $3 each, two for $5, or an arm’s length for $10. If your organization would like to donate raffle prizes or a whole basket filled with items, please call 410-836-1090, x106.
