Festive lights, hot chocolate, warm cookies, coziness and calm—the magic of the season lives in life’s simple joys. And for the animals in our shelter, those same comforts mean safety, warmth, and a chance to finally rest.

But all of it depends on electricity. And without it, one thing is for certain: the animals would suffer.

That’s why this Giving Tuesday—December 2nd—we’re asking for your help to fund a generator powerful enough to support our entire 19,000-square-foot facility.

What keeps animal shelter staff up at night!

If the power were to go out for more than a few hours, our entire operation would come to a grinding halt. We would be thrown into crisis mode—

    • to heat the building
    • to somehow save thousands of dollars in temperature-sensitive vaccines and medications
    • to wash bedding and to provide clean water
    • to communicate with the outside world to secure fosters, rescues, volunteers, adopters and donations
    • to continue doing surgeries
    • to continue taking in animals that need us
    • to do all this and more

Care would be interrupted.

In just 24 hours next Tuesday, our goal is to raise $50,000 so we’re prepared to care for a shelter full of animals who depend on us.

If the power goes out in the middle of the night, you can be the reason no animal wakes up cold and shivering in the darkness.
