Please take note of our hours during the holiday season so you can plan your visit accordingly.
- Thursday, November 27: HSHC will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Friday, December 5: The shelter will be OPEN ONLY from 11am-12pm. After 12pm, the shelter will be closed for a staff holiday party.
- Wednesday, December 24: HSHC will CLOSE at 3pm on Christmas Eve.
- Thursday, December 25: The shelter is CLOSED for the Christmas holiday.
- Wednesday, December 31: HSHC will CLOSE at 3pm on New Years Eve.
- Thursday, January 1: The shelter is CLOSED for New Years Day.
If you find a stray or injured animal and are able, please transport it to Animal Emergency Hospital, 722 Baltimore Pike, Bel Air, MD 21014.
If you find a stray or injured animal are are unable to approach or contain it, please contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Unit at 410-638-3505 or the Harford County Sheriff’s Office at 410-838-6600.
We will be open for regular business on Saturday, December 6, from 10am-5pm.
