Fallston, MD (October 10, 2018) – Homeless animals with traumatic injuries or illnesses that require costly surgeries, life-saving medications or rehabilitation are the focus of an evening gala at the Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC). You’re invited to join Harford County Executive, Barry Glassman, honorary event chair, and event chairs George & Kathy Heidelmaier for the Second Chance Soiree on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 7:00-10:00pm at HSHC, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD. Gifts from the Second Chance Soiree will be placed in the Phoenix Fund, a special account to help animals heal, get adopted, and live out the rest of their lives with a loving, forever family.

Tickets are $100 if purchased before November 1 and increase to $125 thereafter. Live music, hors d’oeuvres by Laurrapin Grille and a limited open bar will be available for guests in a spacious tent outside under the stars. The shelter will be open to view the adoptable animals, and a guided tour of the shelter will be given at 7:45pm. Several past recipients of the Phoenix Fund and their families will be in attendance to share their stories, including Soiree Ambassa-Dog, Duke.

There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities available that provide recognition in press releases, on HSHC’s web site and social media sites, and in the program that evening. Many of the sponsorship levels include tickets to the event.

Named after the Greek myth about the phoenix that obtains new life after being regenerated out of the flames, HSHC’s Phoenix Fund was established to give critically injured or ill animals a second chance.
