Going for a walk. It’s a crucial part of any dog’s normal routine. But for me, Kennedy, a walk for any extended period of time could be life-threatening. That’s because I’m currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, a serious disease spread by mosquitos that can cause severe lung disease, heart failure, and other organ damage. And physical exertion increases the rate at which the heartworms cause damage in the heart and lungs.

But the good news is that I am here, getting the care and treatment I need to kick my disease to the curb!

With the season of feasting and shopping upon us, please take a moment next week to celebrate #GivingTuesday with us. #GivingTuesday is a wonderful way to relax, take a break and give back to the most vulnerable in our community.

In 24 hours next Tuesday, our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Phoenix Fund, a special account set aside for animals who have extra medical bills and just need a chance to get back on their feet – animals LIKE ME!

Make your donation below. Checks can also be mailed to Humane Society of Harford County, Attn: Kennedy’s Krusade, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047. Bones can be sent directly to me, Kennedy, because, uh, you know, for safe keeping. Yeah!

Woof Woof,
