Thanks to the generous support of the Harford County Government and the community, the Humane Society of Harford County was able to raise $6.5 million through the “Gimme Shelter” Capital Campaign to build a brand-new, 19,000 square foot facility.

Now we need your help to raise $900,000 to OPEN THE DOORS – to furnish the building and complete the project. With your assistance, we can make our new shelter a place that meets the needs of the animals, staff, volunteers, and visitors, including a large training room for learning, adequate space for all the animals, and the most up-to-date ventilation and security systems.

The Humane Society of Harford County is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy temporary shelter and excellent care to the homeless, abandoned and neglected animals of Harford County.

Your generosity helps us to care for the more than 4,500 homeless and neglected animals that enter our shelter each year. Your support, at every level, does make a difference in the lives of the animals in our care.
