Always Any time Pet Adoption On Demand HSHC and Comcast have collaborated to produce “Pet Adoption On Demand”, a short video showcasing just a few of the adorable pets available for adoption at HSHC. From your On Demand menu, select “Get Local”, then “Pet Adoptions” to watch the constantly updated selections. Check it out! Your best friend is waiting.
Always During Normal Business Hours Official HSHC Gear Looking for the perfect all-occasion gift for the pet lover in your life? How about an adorable t-shirt or sweatshirt to show your love for animals? We have a large variety of designs and sizes to suit your needs. We also have magnets for your car, baseball caps, and a variety of other merchandise so you can show your support. Come to HSHC’s adoptions office during normal business hours and help support the life-saving programs at HSHC!

May 15, 2013 6-7pm Foster Care Orientation Open your heart and your home for a short time to animals that need your help!  Foster families provide a temporary home for pets who are sick, injured, or too young to be adopted. You provide the tender, loving care and the Humane Society provides for the pets’ medical needs.  Complete an application and attend an orientation to find out what it takes to start helping save lives!
May 17, 2013 11am-1pm Adopt-a-Thon Do you believe in love at first sight? Then join the Humane Society of Harford County at the Wal-Mart in Aberdeen on Friday, May 17th from 11am-1pm. You just might spot one of our pets from across the parking lot and simply fall in love! Wal-Mart is located at 645 S Philadelphia Boulevard.
May 18, 2013 1-4:30pm Adopt-a-Thon On Saturday, May 18th Hickory Veterinary Complex will be holding an open house from 1:00 – 4:30pm. Cats and dogs from the Humane Society of Harford County will be visiting and hoping to make a love connection with you! Adoption applications are located in the complex (or click here to print one), and you’re invited to fill one out ahead of time and get pre-approved. Then simply come to the open house on May 18th to select your new best friend! The Hickory Vet Complex is located at 534 East Jarrettsville Road in Forest Hill.
May 19, 2013 12 – 3pm Adopt-a-Thon Are you thinking about adding a 4-legged friend to your life? Then head over to Weis Markets in Perry Hall on Sunday May 19th from 12-3pm. Dogs from the Humane Society of Harford County will be visiting and hoping to become your new best friend! Weis Markets is located at 4126 East Joppa Road.
May 24, 2013 11am-1pm Adopt-a-Thon Do you believe in love at first sight? Then join the Humane Society of Harford County at the Wal-Mart in Abingdon on Friday, May 24th from 11am-1pm. You just might spot one of our pets from across the parking lot and simply fall in love! Wal-Mart is located at 401 Constant Friendship Boulevard.
May 25, 2013 11am-3pm Adopt-a-Thon Are you thinking about adding a 4-legged friend to your life? Then visit the PetSmart in Bel Air on Saturday May 25th from 11am-3pm. Cats and dogs from the Humane Society of Harford County will be visiting and hoping to make a love connection with you! PetSmart Bel Air is located at 602 Boulton Street.
May 30, 2013 5-8pm Yappy Hour It’s a Yappy Hour and you’re invited! Join the Humane Society of Harford County and several of our adoptable dogs on Thursday, May 30th from 5-8pm on the patio at Bill Bateman’s Bistro in Havre de Grace. The fun includes a money wheel and raffles. Plus, visit our portrait gallery of adoptable faces and vote for your favorites. Present our flyer to your server or bartender and 15% of your bill is donated to the Humane Society of Harford County (dine in & carry out)! Bill Bateman’s Bistro is located at 2021 H Pulaski Hwy (Route 40). Hope to see you there!
May 31, 2013 10am-12pm Adopt-a-Thon Do you believe in love at first sight? Then join the Humane Society of Harford County at the Wal-Mart in Fallston on Friday, May 31st from 10am-12pm. You just might spot one of our pets from across the parking lot and simply fall in love! Wal-Mart is located at 303 Fallston Boulevard.
June 7 & 8, 2013 8am – 2pm “No Fleas” Yard Sale Our wildly popular “No Fleas” yard sale is back! We’re holding one big blow-out sale on June 7 & 8 from 8am – 2pm on the grounds of the shelter. Come and look over an enormous amount of pet supplies, holiday decorations, housewares, children’s items, books & movies, furniture, small appliances and more! Please consider donating your gently-used items beginning March 1.
