Fallston, MD (June 28, 2016) – Need a haircut? Love animals? On Wednesday, July 27, Patrick Lomantini, a master hair stylist from Wichita, Kansas, will return to cut hair at Bel Air’s Bella Amici Salon to bring attention to and raise funds for the many wonderful animals at the Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC). On this, his fifth annual tour, Lomantini will travel to all 50 states in 91 continuous days to give at least 50 haircuts at each salon – all for his love and passion for saving the nation’s homeless animals. One hundred percent of the proceeds are donated to the participating shelter or animal rescue group.

Lomantini will start cutting hair at 10am at Bella Amici and his last appointment will be at 8pm. Men, women and children are encouraged to make an appointment now by calling Bella Amici Salon at 410-588-5688. During his day-long cutting extravaganza, a minimum $25 donation will be collected per haircut. Lomantini doesn’t pocket any money; he is donating 100% of all proceeds to support the programs and services at HSHC. The first 50 people who get haircuts will receive a goody bag with product samples and other giveaways.

Folks who are unable to attend are encouraged to donate $25 for a resident of Bel Air’s Homecoming Project to get a haircut. The Homecoming Project is an eight bed, state certified half-way house for women recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. Donations can be made online or brought directly to HSHC, 2208 Connolly Rd, Fallston. Donations should be clearly marked “Homecoming Project” and all checks should be made payable to HSHC. The deadline to make a donation is Wednesday, July 20.

Patrick will gladly cut your hair for donation to Locks of Love or other similar organizations. The easy-to-follow directions to mail your hair to Locks of Love can be found at www.locksoflove.org/get-involved.

Adoptable animals who are looking for permanent homes will be visiting Bella Amici’s front lawn between 11am and 2pm.

“Not only is Patrick incredibly passionate about helping animals in need, he is also a really generous person who has an incredibly positive attitude,” said Erin Long, marketing coordinator at HSHC. “Once you meet him, he makes you feel like one of his oldest and most treasured friends. He definitely has a following among our supporters and many of them look forward to seeing him each year on his stop in Bel Air.”

“We couldn’t be more pleased and happy for all of the animal organizations that benefited from last year’s event and for all of the salons that participated in hosting me and my team,” Lomantini said. “Thank you all so much in continuing to believe in our passion and dream for better animal welfare.” Follow Lomantini on his journey by visiting www.barkaid.org.
