Fallston, MD (January 28, 2016) – Christmas came early to the many animals in shelter at the Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC) through a benefit hosted by Alan Doran on Wednesday, December 15, 2015 at Pairings Bistro in Bel Air. The event, attended by good friends, family, and business associates, benefits the work done by the organization to help the homeless, unwanted, and in need of a “forever home” animals here in Harford County. The event raised $1,800 for HSHC. (Pictured from left to right are Claudia Holman, APGFCU & HSHC Board Member; Alan Doran; and Jen Swanson, HSHC Executive Director.)

Doran, a Harford Leadership Academy Alumni (2004), also planned the evening as a fun way for everyone to come together, honor their own rescue pets, and give back to the community. Guests were invited to bring a toy or bag of food for the homeless animals, a photo for the “Cherished and Beloved Pet” Memory Board, and enter a drawing for a raffle prize. Pairings Bistro generously donated a percentage of proceeds from dining and retail sales and many guests brought monetary donations. Jen Swanson, Executive Director of the Humane Society, greeted and thanked everyone for attending and spoke about the organization’s new facility and continuing needs for the animals.
