Donations to The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc.

Each year, over four thousand homeless, stray and abandoned pets end up in our shelter in need of care. Our staff of trained animal care professionals make every attempt to provide nutritious food, fresh water, a warm shelter in the winter and a cool shelter in the summer, as well as medical attention and most importantly - LOVE. Your contribution, of any amount, allows us to continue providing all the necessities even as we face an increasing demand for our service.

Thanks to your tax-deductible donations, and the dedicated efforts of our team of volunteers, the HSHC is able to help thousands of animals each year. Here are some of the many things your contributions allow us to do:
  • Reunite lost and stray pets with their rightful guardians;
  • Foster underage and sick dogs and cats until they are ready for adoption; (Our dedicated team of volunteers allows pet's with special needs to receive the care they would not receive in many other animal shelters.)
  • Find new homes for over 1,000 pets;
  • Give education presentations to more than 1,000 children and adults;
  • Provide animal assisted therapy to residents of assisted living facilities;
