Always Any time Pet Adoption On Demand HSHC and Comcast have collaborated to produce "Pet Adoption On Demand”, a short video showcasing just a few of the adorable pets available for adoption at HSHC. From your On Demand menu, select “Get Local”, then “Pet Adoptions” to watch the constantly updated selections. Check it out! Your best friend is waiting.
Always During Normal Business Hours Official HSHC Gear Looking for the perfect all-occasion gift for the pet lover in your life? How about a adorable, warm and fuzzy HSHC sweatshirt? Or maybe a t-shirt is more their style? We have a large variety of designs and sizes to suit your needs. We also have HSHC ball caps, water bottles, fanny packs, and a variety of other merchandise. Come to HSHC’s adoptions office during normal business hours and help support the life-saving programs at HSHC!
1st Sunday each month 8:45am WJZ Guest Appearance HSHC is proud to be a regular guest on WJZ’s Weekend Morning Edition Sunday morning show. Tune in on the first Sunday of each month at 8:45 to see one of our adoptable animals and watch a representative from the shelter talk about pet care.

July 4, 2009, Sat 6-8pm Bel Air Independence Day Parade The Humane Society of Harford County will walk in the Bel Air Independence Day Parade. HSHC's "Stars, Stripes & Paws Furever" unit consists of shelter dogs looking for their furever homes and dogs previously adopted from the shelter.

July 13, 2009, Mon 6:30-7:30pm Foster Care Orientation HSHC is looking for foster parents to provide temporary homes to kittens and puppies, injured or sick animals, young and old. A foster care orientation to introduce you to the program will be held on Monday, July 13th from 6:30-7:30pm. July 15, 2009, Wed 6:00-7:00pm Volunteer Orientation This class is now FULL. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to reserve your seat in the next class.

July 24, 2009, Fri 8am - 2pm Yard Sale The Humane Society of Harford County will hold a huge yard sale on Friday & Saturday, July 24 & 25, 2009 from 8am – 2pm both days, rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the homeless animals at the shelter. We are looking for donations of gently used items to sell to benefit the animals. Leave your donations in the garage over at the Administration Building. You are welcome to drive your car down the driveway to unload. Your donations are due no later than Friday, July 17th. Your donations will not be returned and become the property of HSHC. For sale will be tons of pet supplies, holiday decorations, household items, children’s items, electronics, t-shirts, food and much, much more. Everything must go…don’t miss this sale!
